It is a California king mattress and a California king framework. At the foot of the wicked is about a foot of space between the edge of the mattress and the footboard. Is this normal? No adjustment available. The side rails do not allow it.

Perhaps you were not told by the furniture salesman…that place is where your company sleeps when they come…

check to see if your frame is adjustable. If not then since you have a footboard
you can hide it by using a bulky comforter that will take up that space. I’d check with the company you bought your bed frame from to ask them why.

Most beds with any kind of footboard, sleigh beds included, provide some space for maneuvering to put on the mattress cover, fitted sheets, tuck in the flat sheet and blankets and still have room for your comforter, duvet cover, or bedspread. Some have adjustable side rails so that you can shorten or lengthen that space as needed.

Maybe you should see if the frame adjusts. If they were sold as a set then I would take it back or get a matteress that is long enough.
