Where to buy a toddler-style bed with twin mattress?

Double Beds
There is a TON of beautiful beds for children using the crib mattress. Does anyone know where to buy something similar that uses a twin mattress instead? I 'm looking for under $ 200 without the mattress. The only thing I can find is the race car bed, step 2 next to the crib and twin mattresses, but it 's not really what I want. I 'd like wood like this (doesn' t have to be a sleigh bed): http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4940123 Thanks! I 'm watching craigslist and I' VE tested points, IKEA and Walmart already. Sorry – Toys R Us / Babies R Us also checked

The only bed they make for a twin mattress is a twin bed, unless like you said that race car bed. If you want a wood one then you’ll have to get a regular twin bed.

Try Like ToysR’Us or BabiesRUs. Or even if you don’t mind hand me downs check to local garage sales or Craiglist.org. I found my daughters on Craigslist in GREAT condition for really cheap. They don’t really use them long enough to wear out

Look on Ebay, I bet they’ll have one for ya there. You will also spend less on Ebay than in a store. If all else fails, buy a regular twin sleigh bed(or whatever) and get a rail to put on the side of the bed, You can find them on Ebay too, but also at your local department or childrens store.

Just purchase a twin bed and then purchase the rails for the sides. Or put the mattress on the floor until he gets used to sleeping in it. That’s what we did with our daughter until she “graduated” to a “real” bed.

My wife and I had a hard time finding a non crib matress bed as well and after a long search we found a decent white wood headboard and foot board as well as underdrawer set with a twin frame for dirt cheap at our local Kmart believe it or not, it came in dark and light colored “wood” as well. ITs not a specific kid bed but with the underdrawer unit it holds lots of her toys and it sets pretty low to the ground, then for about 40 bucks we found a two sided bed rail set at babies are us that keeps her safe and from rolling off the bed at night and she loves her bed! Hope this helps some.
